About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Department of State's Charleston Regional Center Building D Passport Office Construction Renovation project. The solicitation (19AQMM25R0163) is a total small business set-aside, with site visits scheduled for June 25th and June 30th as the only available dates for contractors to inspect the occupied space. The Department of State has extended the proposal due date to July 24, 2025, by 4:00 PM ET to provide sufficient time for offerors to prepare and submit proposals following the site visits. Access to specific attachments (3 and 4) requires a request through SAM.gov, and only prime small business contractors will be granted access to these documents. Questions from potential offerors are due by June 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET.

Text version

1. Will this be a group site visit with other contractors or are you doing single site visits for contractors?

DOS Response: The revisions to the terms and conditions of the solicitation removed FAR 52.236-27 and replaced it with FAR 52.236-27 Alt I. The site visits scheduled are for June 25th and June 30th, which are the only two dates the DoS will offer for site visits. This is an occupied space and unfortunately we cannot accommodate more than the two site visits as it will disrupt the DoS mission.

Additionally, the proposal due date has been extended to July 24, 2025 by 4:00 PM ET to allow sufficient time for offerors to submit proposals from the date of the second site visit.
