About this file
This is a Consent of Surety document issued by Stafford Township, New Jersey, for use in conjunction with Bid #2026-049A regarding the Ocean Acres Booster Pump Replacement Phase 2 and Well No. 5 Redevelopment project. The project involves the rehabilitation of Well No. 5 located at 181 Stafford Avenue, Manahawkin, New Jersey, and the replacement of two existing high service booster pumps and associated motor rehabilitation at 327 Golfview Drive, Manahawkin, New Jersey. All work must be performed under direct supervision of a New Jersey Licensed Master Well Driller in accordance with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection requirements. The Consent of Surety serves as the contractor's certification that a surety company will provide a performance bond in the full contract amount upon award.
All bidders are required to submit a Consent of Surety with their bid proposal, and the document must be signed by an authorized agent or representative of the surety company, not by the individual or company representative submitting the bid. Failure to provide both the required PDF upload and verifiable security—consisting of either an electronic verifiable bid bond and consent of surety, original hard copy of the bid bond and consent of surety, or a physical check—by the date and time designated in the Notice to Bidders will render the bid proposal unresponsive and constitute a fatal defect pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.2.
