About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Solicitation Number 17061, seeking a vendor to provide After Hours Services for the CTrail Alert System. The RFP covers comprehensive customer service and alert management for the CTrail Hartford Line and CTrail Shore Line East commuter rail services, targeting vendors who can operate outside of AECOM's current staffing hours (weekdays 6am-7pm and weekends 7am-6pm). The solicitation opened on August 8, 2023, with proposals due by September 23, 2023, at 5:00 PM EDT, and is open to all vendors. The primary objective is to find a provider capable of monitoring service disruptions and promptly notifying subscribers and the public through multiple communication channels including Twitter, email, text messages, and website updates.
The RFP specifies Free On Board Destination delivery terms and requires vendors to integrate with an existing in-house platform that allows operators a single point of entry to distribute service alerts. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the procurement seeks a vendor who can effectively manage after-hours alert system operations for the commuter rail services. AECOM is identified as the current incumbent operating the CTrides customer service call center, and the new contract will complement their existing service model. The service area covers the Hartford and New Haven regions within Hartford County, Connecticut, with a focus on maintaining continuous customer service and real-time communication for commuter rail passengers. Contact for questions is Mary Santos at the Department of Transportation in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.

AECOM employees staff the Call Center week days 6 am to 7 pm and weekends 7 am to 6 pm.
