About this file

This document contains responses from the FBI to inquiries regarding a solicitation for Regional Multiple Award Construction Contracts. The solicitation is for indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity construction contracts across multiple regions, with an initial seed project located at the FBI's Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The seed project involves construction of an Explosive Technical Laboratory building and is fully designed.

The responses provide clarification on various requirements for the seed project, such as confirmation that approximately 22,000 cubic yards of structural fill material is stockpiled for use on site. Submission requirements are also clarified, including the need to submit six hard copies and one electronic copy of proposals to the FBI office in Huntsville by August 26, 2019.

Attachment 7 FBI NDA to the TORFP letter

We are in receipt of the added Attachment 7 NDA form. Given the process will require new separate forms for even those contractors/vendors currently under signature of NDA's of related projects, as well as the requirement to submit to the FBI for approval prior to providing access to the project documents, we respectfully request an extension to the scheduled bid date in order to ensure adequate bid coverage and proper time for bidders to review the project documents. We would also like to request an extension to the deadline for submission of RFI's. The current cutoff date for submissions is 08/09/2019 and many bidders may not have access to the documents by that time.

QUESTIONS:

1.) The sheet metal ductwork will have a G90 finish, does this need the antimicrobial coating as well?

2.) The cleaning specification indicates to only apply the coating if there is a suspect of fungal growth, does this mean the entire system does not need the coating initially?

3.) If the coating is required, is it required on all HVAC ductwork accessories as well, i.e., dampers, fire dampers, etc.?

4.) If the ductwork system is tested and found to be clean without mechanical cleaning, will the system be required to be cleaned anyway?

N/A 87100
