About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 1) for federal contract 140P5326R0016 regarding BISO Maintenance to Bandy Creek Water Tank. The document addresses six key inquiries from potential contractors regarding project specifications and logistics.
Surface preparation requirements clarify that interior surfaces must be cleaned and prepared to meet SSPC-SP10/NACE No. 2 standards with abrasive blasting as needed, while exterior surfaces are to be pressure washed and prepared for coating without abrasive blasting unless specifically required. Tank isolation will be accomplished using existing shutoff valves in both directions, with contractor coordination required with the Government. Water service continuity during rehabilitation is a Government responsibility; the park will determine and manage temporary water supply methods while the contractor coordinates work activities accordingly. The Government has identified the most recent tank inspection on record dated August 23, 2021, with additional documentation available upon request. The water tank was constructed in 1985, and the last known rehabilitation occurred circa 2006, with scope details being confirmed and to be provided if available.
