Amendment 8
We usually use metal detectors and scopes to identify locations of wiring and plumbing to minimize wall and ceiling holes on a project like this. As we remove wallpaper, plaster and lath to run wires, pipes, etc is it preferred to replace wallpaper in vertical sheets, squares patches or wall to wall?
The intent is for the existing wallcoverings to be fully replaced. New wallcoverings should match existing in every respect. Existing wallcovering are installed as vertical sheets, GC to match the existing widths. The patterns are to be digitized so that new wallcovering patterns match existing. Bradbury & Bradbury Art Wallpapers may have some patterns already digitized and in their archive.

Might the National Park Service have any available facilities available where we can store the furnishings of the MLK Birth House? Alternately, if the NPS doesn’t have any facilities to store the furnishings, does such a storage facility have to be sprinklered?
NPS does not have storage space available. Requirements for moving and storage are clearly stated in Amendment 3, Attachment 01 35 92 Collection Moving and Storage Procedures and attachments.

Can the parking area behind the firehouse be used for parking or storing pallets for work on site? If so, how many parking spots and what limitations? Are there any other on‐park‐site areas that are safe to park a trailer or store materials or should we plan for that off‐site?
Three parking spots behind the fire station will be dedicated for contractor's use. Some materials may be staged behind the birth home on the paved area at the end of the driveway but it will not be secured by the park. Additional parking will be available at the visitor parking lot three blocks from the site.
