About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation No. 140L0626B0005, GFO Flood Damage Repairs. The document addresses three substantive inquiries from potential bidders regarding the solicitation requirements.
The first question confirms that an attendance sheet for the prebid site tour is available as an attachment to the amendment. The second question addresses FM-200 fire suppression system disposal requirements, which have been revised on Drawing M100, Note 4. The revised requirements specify that FM-200 primer charge and FM-200 must be disposed of in accordance with EPA Regulations 608, with discharge to atmosphere prohibited. The FM-200 must be reclaimed, recycled, or returned to the manufacturer by a contractor certified and licensed to work on clean agent fire suppression systems. Contractors must submit an EPA Section 608 compliant certificate of disposal/recycling form and chain of custody form, with transportation of cylinders complying with DOT regulations per 49 CFR Parts 171, 172, and 173. The third question clarifies that references to the Annex Office Building in the specifications have been changed to the Log Office Building, with revisions included in specification sections 01 10 00 Summary Work, 01 10 00 Phasing matrix, and 01 50 00 Temporary Facilities and Controls.
