About this file

This attachment provides site access and location information for the Utah Communications Authority's Geyser Peak Tower Construction and Equipment Shelter Installation project (GJ26-149) located near Geyser Peak in Sevier County, Utah on USFS land. The site is accessed from State Route 72 near Forsyth Reservoir at mile marker 11.4 by turning east on FR206/Elkhorn Road for 3.77 miles to a junction near Rock Lake, then proceeding north on a dirt road for 0.35 miles. From this junction, two route options exist to reach the final site: a longer but less steep route through trees (white route) covering 0.62 miles, or a shorter but steeper route (green route) covering 0.4 miles. Questions regarding the procurement are due by May 19, 2026 at noon MT, and submissions are due by May 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM MT via the U3P portal.

The site location is characterized as open and generally flat with no trees requiring removal and minimal grading needed for construction. A small BLM micro shelter is already present near the planned new tower location. The dirt road from the pavement to the site is in good condition. Materials for the project are available for pickup at the UCA Warehouse and UDOT Road Shed near Fish Lake (GPS coordinates: 38.473200, -111.832516). The project site GPS coordinates are 38.511960, -111.460180. This is a UCA-issued solicitation, and contract award notifications will not be posted on the Division of Purchasing website; bidders must contact the designated UCA office directly for award information.
