About this file
This is a technical exhibit for a federal contract solicitation regarding electrical repairs at WRC Hangar 32 in Seattle, Washington (Solicitation No. Sol_1305M326Q0317) issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The document outlines specific work requirements across multiple Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). CLIN 002 addresses the Northeast Stairwell and Hangar Entry, requiring removal of pass-through panel F and rerouting power to Panel HH on Level 2. CLIN 007 encompasses optional items identified during contractor walkthrough, specifically for the Northwest Stairwell, including: demolition and safe removal of exposed wires and unused electrical equipment; removal of old, unused, and unsafe panels, disconnects, and fuse boxes; cutting dead wires back to floor level and removing them from panels to the nearest junction box outside the stairwell; and repair of wall openings with new sheetrock, taping, mudding, and finishing (painting not required). Contractors must note special precautions regarding transite (asbestos-based) material in the wall between the stairwell and hangar, which shall not be disturbed without proper containment. The technical exhibit includes photographs documenting the current electrical conditions in the Northeast Stairwell panels (CLIN 004), Southwest Stairwell and Hangar Entry (CLIN 005), and Northwest Stairwell panels (CLIN 007), showing deteriorated panels, tangled wiring, and various disconnects and fuse boxes requiring remediation.
