Material is to be aluminum instead of steel. . Use exact grade of materials specified.
3.27.2.9, 10 CM (S Band) Radar Railing are using steel on drawing.
3.27.2.10, 3 CM (X Band) Radar Railing are using steel on drawing.
Question- Drawings are using steel for the exact grade of materials specified, am I to change the drawings specified materials to aluminum?
A1: All material shall be aluminum - same dimensions as shown in the drawings showing the material as Steel.
Q2: WI 3.29 Food Grinder

Does steel being cropped and replaced intersect with binnacle foundation or wireways? Answer: Assume 3-4 cables will need to be covered with A-cloth or similar. Insulation in overhead IWO inserts will need to be removed and reinstalled.
What interferences are below the sections of steel deck to be cropped and replaced? Answer: Insulation and 3-4 cables. (cables will not need to be removed, but will need to be covered well with a-cloth or similar to reduce chances of damage.

A7: Chocks are located at frame C (see page 4 of drawing OE-601-101) port and Starboard. Space underneath is boson storeroom.
Q8: We are receiving several notices from subcontractors that indicate a substantial cost for quarantine time due to Covid 19. Has this been addressed as to how the Government will be handling the situation? If we add it to the bid then it will be an inflated number and if it is left out then our Company will have to absorb a substantial impact. Please advise.
A8: The bid submitted should be accurate without any adjustment for COVID-
19. Any adjustment made will be addressed with the AIR process if needed during the drydock repairs.
