About this file

This is a Pre-Award Site Visit Certification document for an open-end contract with Broward County, Florida, Office of Medical Examiner and Trauma Services (OMETS), and various other Broward County agencies. The contract procures professional removal and transportation services of deceased persons, medical records, specimens, and physical evidence. Vendors may submit bids for Group 1 (Zone 1), Group 2 (Zone 2), or both groups. The solicitation requires vendors to submit responses electronically through BPRO by specified closing dates and times, with the County providing a designated period for vendors to submit questions and seek clarification. All documents, including those marked as optional, are encouraged for submittal to facilitate comprehensive review. The contract is subject to Broward County and State of Florida licensing requirements as well as Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) requirements.

Pricing terms and set-asides are governed by Broward County procurement preferences for Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and County Business Enterprises. Vendors must ensure compliance with all solicitation requirements, County/State licensing regulations, and OESBD guidelines. Responses received through means other than BPRO will not be considered by the County. Vendors are advised to submit solicitation responses in advance of the closing deadline and to review the complete solicitation requirements rather than relying solely on this summary. Additional information is available through the Purchasing Division website and related BPRO communications.
