About this file

This is an Insurance Requirement document for an open-end contract issued by Broward County, Florida, Office of Medical Examiner and Trauma Services (OMETS), in conjunction with various other Broward County agencies. The contract solicitation is for professional removal and transportation services of deceased persons, medical records, specimens, and physical evidence. Vendors may submit bids for Group 1 (Zone 1), Group 2 (Zone 2), or both groups. The solicitation requires vendors to submit responses electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time, with the County providing a designated period for vendors to submit questions and seek clarification. All submissions must receive a submission receipt through BPRO, and the County will not consider responses received through alternative means. Vendors are strongly encouraged to submit all required and optional documentation at the time of submittal to facilitate timely and comprehensive review.

The solicitation imposes specific county and state licensing requirements and is subject to procurement preferences for Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and County Business Enterprises as administered by the Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD). Vendors must comply with all applicable insurance requirements outlined in the referenced document to be eligible for contract award. The contract is structured as an open-end agreement, allowing for ongoing service provision to OMETS and other Broward County departments with identified service needs.
