About this file

This document outlines specifications for constructing an overlapping rock stairway and related earthwork. The project involves constructing rock stairways at the Bonita Falls Day Use Parking area according to the provided drawings and specifications. Key details include using sound durable rock free of defects to form overlapping steps secured with two or more contact points. The subgrade must be cleared, grubbed, graded and compacted according to separate specifications. Measurement will be based on the number of completed rock steps.

The related federal contract opportunity is for improvements to Lytle Creek in the San Bernardino National Forest. The project budget is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and is set aside solely for small businesses. Interested offerors should submit any requests for information to the contracting officer by May 16, 2023 and a pre-proposal site visit will not be held, though the locations are open to the public.
