Upon request by the Contracting Officer, the Contractor must make arrangement for inspection of each piece of off-road equipment prior to it being placed into service. If Contractor desires to clean off-road equipment on National Forest land, such as at the end of a project or prior to moving to a new unit that is free from noxious weeds, Contractor and Contracting Officer shall agree on methods of cleaning, locations for the cleaning, and control of off-site impacts, if any. New infestations of noxious weeds within the project area or on the haul route, shall be promptly reported by the Contractor or Forest Service.

Disassembly of equipment components or specialized inspection equipment is not required. Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer at least five days in advance of moving equipment in so that arrangements can be made for inspection.

All heavy equipment shall be cleaned and thoroughly inspected prior to mobilization to the work site.
