About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document dated March 13, 2026, for Solicitation 1240LU26Q0027 addressing GAC Site Preparation Construction. The document clarifies eight key issues raised by prospective bidders regarding project scope, site conditions, and submission requirements. Site visits are not required but are highly encouraged for bidders to assess layout and obstacles. The site remains subject to winter weather conditions including snowfall, rain, and wind with no major changes to access since the February 24th document posting. Amendment 0002 to the Schedule of Items and project specifications will be posted to address an oversight regarding 166 feet of 18-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) that was shown on plan sheets C100 and C103 but omitted from the original Schedule of Items & Prices and Statement of Work. The 18-inch culvert has been confirmed as part of this solicitation, while the enlarged semi-approach pad will not be paved under this solicitation and therefore has no associated pay item.
Regarding optional work, the camper island plan shown as Alternate #1 on plan sheet C103 will be included as Optional Item 001 – RV Trailer Hook Ups under this solicitation rather than being deferred to a future project. For past performance evaluation, bidders must provide phone numbers for each reference to enable in-person verification interviews. This represents the only Q&A posting for the project, as all questions were due by March 12, 2026, and bidders are advised to review any posted amendments in addition to these responses.
