About this file
This document is an instrumentation specification and packing slip summary for the replacement of an Early Warning System (EWS) at Park Lake Dam. The EWS, originally installed in 2012 by AMCI (out of Colorado), shall be replaced "in-kind" with all necessary components for a complete and operational system. The contractor is responsible for supplying all required parts, with the understanding that newer versions of the listed components may be substituted as appropriate. The Forest Service will be responsible for securing the data collection license and membership separately.
The system comprises a Custom Satellite Monitoring Unit (SMU-MT3000) with solar power capabilities (12V, 12W, 12Ah), a fiberglass lockable NEMA4X enclosure, and analog and pulse counting inputs for pressure transmitters and tipping bucket rain gauges. Key components include a Tipping Bucket Rain Gauge (Texas Electronics R-525USW), a Submersible Pressure Transmitter (Dynotek Slimline-G, 0-10 PSIG with 4-20mA output and 40-foot vented cable), an AMCI Tank Alert Float Switch Kit, and a GlobalWave Mobile Terminal Model 3000 C1D2 for North America. The system also includes a NEMA4X/6 P 12X10 enclosure, aluminum back panel, mounting brackets, MT3000 circular connector interface, Power-Sonic battery (PS-12120F2), SS6L-12V SunSaver charge controller with low voltage disconnect, 6W SolCharger Module, and adjustable solar panel mounting brackets. Programming, configuration, and testing fees for the MT3000 and SatAlarm provisioning are also included as deliverables.
