About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 2) providing technical clarifications for RFQ 1232SA26Q1195, a Total Small Business Set-Aside solicitation issued by the USDA Agricultural Research Service for Chiller Coil Replacement services. The Q&A addresses critical technical specifications and site conditions relevant to the work scope. The facility operates two chillers with only one running at any given time, while the other serves as a backup unit. The work scope is limited to replacing a single damaged condenser coil on Chiller 1, Circuit 2, with the faulty unit to be powered down and locked out during repair operations.
Technical specifications provided include condenser coil piping line sizes of OD 3/8" and OD 7/8" copper tubing, and identification of the liquid line filter drier as YORK P/N 026-43984-002, requiring two 48 Size filter cores or Filter Drier Cartridge replacement components. The Government has provided photographic documentation of the filter drier body and part number information, along with piping connection details showing where tubing must be broken for coil removal. Contractors are explicitly advised to confirm all tubing sizes and drier part numbers before ordering materials. Quotations are due August 31, 2026 at 9:00 AM PT and must be submitted to Elizabeth Calhoun at Elizabeth.Calhoun@usda.gov with the solicitation title and number in the subject line.
