About this file
This is a Form 1295 Acknowledgment of Exemptions document issued by Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) in compliance with Texas House Bill 1295, which requires disclosure of interested parties for contracts exceeding certain thresholds. The form pertains to a fencing installation, repair, and services contract opportunity with FBISD. Vendors responding to this solicitation must submit a completed Disclosure of Interested Parties (Form 1295) unless their business entity qualifies for one of the specified exemptions. The form requires vendor certification that submitted information is accurate and complete, with understanding that failure to comply with Texas Government Code Section 2252.908 may result in contract delays or termination.
The exemptions from Form 1295 submission include contracts with sponsored research institutions of higher education, interagency contracts of state agencies or institutions of higher education, health and human services contracts with indeterminate value where any qualified vendor is eligible, publicly traded business entities and their wholly owned subsidiaries, electric utilities as defined by Texas Utilities Code Section 31.002, and gas utilities as defined by Texas Utilities Code Section 121.001. Vendors must check the applicable exemption box if applicable, obtain authorized signature, and upload the completed form through the Bonfire procurement platform in the Required Forms section. All vendors submitting proposals must complete this certification requirement or demonstrate qualifying exemption status before contract execution.
