About this file
This is a Special Conditions document for the Judiciary, State of Hawaii, outlining contractual requirements for the furnishing and installation of ADA-compliant automatic door systems at the Hilo Courthouse for the Third Circuit Court. The document establishes that the bidder must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary for the complete installation of stand-alone low-energy ADA automatic door operators and closers on existing double doors. The project scope is detailed in the attached Scope of Work document referenced as "Scope ADA Door Hilo."
The Special Conditions incorporate the Judiciary's General Conditions Governing Contracts with the Judiciary, State of Hawaii for Goods and Services (October 2023 version) as binding terms, with those General Conditions taking precedence in any conflicts with other contract provisions. The contractor, its employees, and agents must comply with the Judiciary's Discrimination Harassment-Free Workplace Policy and establish procedures for reporting any incidents. All electronic information technology developed or provided under the contract must comply with the Hawaii Electronic Information Technology Disability Access Standards. The document confirms that the contractor representative executing the agreement possesses the authority to bind the contractor to its terms.
