About this file

This is an insurance requirements document issued by the Cherokee County School System's Office of Risk Management and Benefits for facility use and maintenance service providers, applicable to the HVAC Air Filter Services contract opportunity. The document establishes mandatory insurance coverage specifications that all proposers must maintain throughout the contract period. The Cherokee County School District is soliciting proposals for customized air filter services to provide quarterly filter change-outs at all district locations, with all filters meeting a minimum Merv 8 or Merv 9 rating. Award will be made on an "all or none" basis to a single qualified proposer.

Service providers must obtain and maintain comprehensive general liability insurance with one million dollars in aggregate single limit coverage and one million dollars per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. Business automobile liability insurance must also provide one million dollars per accident combined single limit coverage, including uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. Workers' compensation insurance must comply with Georgia statutory limits regardless of the number of employees, and employer's liability coverage must maintain a minimum of five hundred thousand dollars. All insurance policies must be issued by A-rated or better companies, with the Cherokee County School System named as certificate holder and additional insured. A certificate of insurance must be provided within fifteen days of request and prior to service commencement, with required notice of cancellation provided to the school system. The Risk Management and Benefits Office can be contacted at 770.704.4264 or 770.721.6319 for additional information or if the school system determines that higher insurance limits are necessary based on application review.
