About this file

This is an Insurance Requirements document issued by the Delaware Affordable Housing Group (DAHG) establishing mandatory insurance compliance standards for all contractors and suppliers conducting business or performing services at DAHG properties. The document outlines comprehensive insurance coverage requirements that contractors must meet prior to commencing work on projects, including the complete renovation of 407 Foulk Road in Delaware. All contractors are required to submit Certificates of Insurance directly from their insurance providers to DAHG's procurement office at 400 North Walnut Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.

DAHG mandates the following minimum insurance coverage limits: Workers Compensation meeting statutory requirements with employers' liability limits of $100,000 per accident and $500,000 policy limit for bodily injury by disease; Comprehensive General Liability with $1,000,000 per occurrence combined single limits covering premises, operations, independent contractors, products, completed operations, and contractual liability; Business Auto Liability with $500,000 per occurrence combined single limits for owned and non-owned vehicles; and Professional Liability/Errors and Omissions coverage with $1,000,000 each occurrence and $5,000,000 general aggregate minimum. DAHG must be named as an additional insured on all policies except Workers Compensation and Employer's Liability. All insurance must be provided by companies financially responsible and admitted to do business in Delaware. Insurance certificates must include a thirty-day cancellation notice requirement, and contractors must maintain continuous coverage throughout the contract period, furnishing evidence of renewal to prevent coverage lapses.
