About this file

This is a Confidential and Proprietary Information Declaration Form issued by Salt Lake City Corporation's Purchasing & Contracts Management Division for use in conjunction with Request for Proposals #SLCI27031 for Micromobility Tracking Software. The form serves as a mechanism for contractors and private providers to submit confidentiality claims under the Government Records Access and Management (GRAMA) Act, specifically to protect trade secrets and commercial financial information that could reasonably result in unfair competitive injury if disclosed. The form requires claimants to provide company information, identify the specific records subject to protection, provide concise reasons supporting the confidentiality claim, and indicate whether a redacted public copy of the records is also being submitted. Claims must comply with Utah Code §63G-2-305 and §63G-2-309 requirements and must be submitted concurrently with the protected information.

The form clarifies that submission of a confidentiality claim does not guarantee protected classification status if the government receives a subsequent public records request. Contractors responding to the Salt Lake City micromobility tracking software solicitation may utilize this form to protect proprietary information such as trade secrets, pricing methodologies, or commercially sensitive data included in their proposals. The form is a standard procedural document that facilitates compliance with Utah's public records law while allowing contractors to designate sensitive business information for protective treatment during the procurement evaluation process.
