About this file
This is a Confidential and Proprietary Information Declaration Form issued by Salt Lake City Corporation's Purchasing & Contracts Management Division for use by contractors and private providers to identify protected records and information subject to Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA) protections. The form enables claimants to assert confidentiality claims for trade secrets and commercial financial information in accordance with Utah Code 63G-2-305 and 63G-2-309. Contractors submitting sensitive information must complete the form with their company details, specify which records or pages require protection, provide a concise statement of reasons supporting the confidentiality claim, and indicate whether a redacted public copy is being provided. The form requires the claimant's signature and date of submission.
Confidentiality claims submitted through this form do not guarantee protected classification if the governmental entity receives subsequent public records requests. Claimants must provide specific details about the information being protected, including page numbers and paragraphs, along with supporting rationale for why the information qualifies for protection as either a trade secret or competitive commercial information. This form is applicable to the Salt Lake City Request for Bid SLCI26101 for clearing and securing real property and the one-time purchase of a sidewalk sweeper unit, allowing bidders and contractors to protect proprietary pricing, technical specifications, or other sensitive business information submitted in connection with their proposals.
