About this file
This file is a Questions and Answers document (Attachment J-8) for Solicitation 030ADV26R0030, issued by the Library of Congress for Wayfinding Signage Fabrication Services.
The solicitation deadline has been extended from May 27, 2026, to June 10, 2026. Key clarifications address specific sign groups and installation requirements: the Library will provide mesh surfaces for Sign Group H3; contractors must take site measurements for pillar diameters in Sign Group N; the 32'-6" x 15'-0" Stage in Sign Group R may be manufactured, shipped, and installed in sections with visible color-matched fasteners permitted to secure sections and 3-D letters; and contractors bear full responsibility for underground conduit and wiring for LED up-lighting in Sign Group Q. Approved full prototypes may be delivered and installed as finished products. Graphics will require substantial preparation but not original artwork or design. The Library does not share budget information, will not conduct official site visits, and will not discuss alternative materials or production methods until after contract award. Any decisions regarding fixing methods for banner installation will be made by the Library after selection, requiring contractors to price for both available options initially.
