About this file

This document is a City Clerk's Journal for the City of Cocoa, Florida, recording the Regular Meeting of the City Council on February 25, 2025. Among the key items discussed was the approval of the final ranking for RFQ Q-25-03-COC, which concerns Engineering Services for the Pineda Causeway Phase 2 Water Main Design Project. The City Council authorized the City Manager and City Attorney to negotiate and execute a multi-year contract with the top-ranked firm, and potentially the second-ranked firm if negotiations with the top firm are unsuccessful, with a total not-to-exceed amount of $1,335,000 for design services.

The project involves engineering services for water main design, specifically for extending a 16-inch water main on Pineda Causeway. The City Council approved the contract with specific conditions, including the ability to negotiate with the second-ranked firm if initial negotiations are unsuccessful. The funding appears to be part of the city's broader infrastructure and utilities development efforts, with the contract being structured as a multi-year agreement to facilitate the design phase of the water main installation project.
