About this file

This is a Performance Bond sample document related to a prequalification solicitation for custom furniture (FF&E) services issued by Mt. San Antonio College in California. The document serves as a template for performance bond requirements that contractors must provide as part of their prequalification packets. The project involves furnishing a new 273,000-square-foot Technology and Health Building, the largest instructional facility of any community college in California, which will consolidate 10 departments and 26 academic programs currently located across six separate campus locations. Contractors are evaluated at this prequalification stage solely on their qualifications, experience, licensing, and ability to perform the scope of work, with only approved contractors invited to participate in the subsequent main project solicitation. The project emphasizes a furniture design philosophy centered on flexibility and supporting a dynamic educational environment, with furniture strategically selected to create visually distinct, branded spaces reflecting the identity of each academic program.

The performance bond document establishes the financial and contractual security requirements that contractors must satisfy to demonstrate their capability and financial stability. As a prequalification document, the bond requirements ensure that only qualified contractors with adequate bonding capacity and financial backing proceed to the formal bid phase. The specific bond amount, percentages, and detailed terms would be established in the final contract documents following successful prequalification approval. Contractors must submit completed prequalification packets by the established due date, with all project-related attachments including drawings, specifications, and supporting documents provided for reference purposes only during the prequalification review process.
