About the company
Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC), doing business as Cssc, is a non-profit organization registered in SAM.gov since 2010 to receive federal awards. CSSC provides health and social services in Tanzania.
Through a $6.5 million cooperative agreement with USAID Tanzania, CSSC will provide technical assistance to increase access to pediatric HIV and TB treatment from 2023-2028. Services aim to eliminate mother-to-child HIV transmission and achieve greater control of the HIV and TB epidemics. Additionally, a $16.5 million USAID Tanzania cooperative agreement supports establishing a self-reliant faith-based health facility network to sustainably provide healthcare through 2025.
As a subrecipient, CSSC has helped implement the CPRC project funded by USAID to reduce maternal and child mortality by improving quality of care and health seeking behaviors related to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health services. Under a subaward from Pact Inc., CSSC educated community and faith leaders about preventing and responding to sexual violence against children. CSSC also worked with Catholic Relief Services under PEPFAR funding to engage faith leaders and align policies to end pediatric HIV in Tanzania.
