About this opportunity
Valdosta State University (VSU) is conducting an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) for a Housing and Dining Consultant contract, issued under the State Purchasing Act of Georgia (O.C.G.A. 50-5-50). The procurement process aims to select one or more qualified suppliers to provide consulting services specifically related to VSU's housing and dining operations. The eRFQ is designed to gather and evaluate responses from potential suppliers with expertise in higher education facility management and dining services. Key objectives include obtaining professional consulting services that can assess, analyze, and potentially improve VSU's housing and dining infrastructure and operations. The solicitation was posted on August 14, 2025, with responses due by September 10, 2025, providing potential vendors approximately 27 days to prepare and submit their quotes. The evaluation process will involve a comprehensive review of submitted responses, with preliminary results to be publicly announced, including participating suppliers' names and initial evaluation outcomes.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears to be open to qualified suppliers who can demonstrate relevant expertise in higher education housing and dining consulting. The eRFQ indicates a competitive selection process that will consider multiple factors in evaluating potential contractors. The state of Georgia and Liberty County are associated with this procurement, suggesting potential local business participation opportunities. The contract will be awarded through a public process subject to a protest mechanism, ensuring transparency in vendor selection. Although specific budget ranges are not provided in the current documentation, the procurement suggests a professional services contract with potential for significant engagement in assessing and potentially transforming VSU's housing and dining infrastructure.
