About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide outreach and implementation services for its Veterans Small Business and Buy Local Program. The goal of this program is to increase the participation of veteran-owned small businesses and local businesses in the CFTOD's procurement process, thereby increasing the number of contracts awarded to these businesses. The CFTOD recently launched a new electronic bidding platform hosted by PlanetBids, which businesses must register on to submit questions and bids. The CFTOD's Procurement Policy, effective September 1, 2023, includes the Veterans Small Business and Buy Local Program, which offers bid preferences on most CFTOD solicitations for certified businesses. The CFTOD has also created a new BuyLocalNow webpage for the registration of eligible veteran-owned small businesses and local businesses.
The CFTOD's Veterans Small Business and Buy Local Program Outreach & Implementation Services contract opportunity is open to all interested and qualified firms. The CFTOD is particularly interested in proposals from firms that have experience in outreach and implementation services for similar programs. The contract is expected to have a value range of $500,000 to $1,000,000, depending on the scope of services and the number of businesses that participate in the program. The deadline for submitting proposals is February 20, 2024, and the CFTOD will be hosting a pre-proposal conference on January 15, 2024 to provide additional details and answer questions from interested firms.
