About this opportunity
The City of St. Marys, Georgia is seeking the services of an ISA Certified Arborist firm, partnership, joint venture, or team to conduct a comprehensive tree inventory within the city. The inventory will include the creation of a GIS-based database of approximately 4,500 trees, planting sites, and stumps located along public rights-of-way and within city-owned parks and properties. The inventory must be based on the ANSI A300 Part 9 standards and can be delivered using tree inventory software, with standard deliverables of Excel files and shapefiles. The selected firm will be responsible for collecting and entering detailed information about each site, including location, tree species, diameter, and condition. The city will evaluate proposals based on the project manager and key team leaders' experience and qualifications (30%), resources and workload capacity (20%), technical approach and schedule (30%), and cost proposal (20%). Proposals are due by 2:00 PM on October 1, 2024, and the city anticipates making a single award within 45 days of the notice of award.
The RFP indicates that funding for the project may be provided by local, state, and/or federal funds, and the selected firm must comply with all applicable regulations. The city is requesting Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation on the project, but the RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFP also does not provide information on any incumbent vendors or current contractors, or details on any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not include the estimated award value or budget range for the project.
