About this opportunity
The Georgia Department of Transportation's Office of Transportation Data is seeking comprehensive proposals for a Traffic Monitoring Program Data contract that will consolidate and streamline all aspects of traffic data collection, analysis, reporting, billing, scheduling, and presentation into a single, integrated system. The procurement focuses on managing both Permanent Sites/Continuous Count Stations (CCS) and Portable Sites, requiring contractors to handle site maintenance, upgrades, installations, and complete data collection according to specified technical requirements. The primary objectives include creating a seamless data management solution with one point of contact responsible for the entire statewide traffic monitoring program, encompassing data storage, analytics, processing, reporting, and public web interface. The solicitation (eRFP 48400-DOT0003184) was posted on January 8, 2025, with proposals due by February 11, 2025. Bidders must submit all required documentation, including Tax Compliance, Immigration Compliance, Non-Collusion, and Georgia Resident Small Business Verification forms, with failure to provide complete documentation resulting in automatic bid rejection.
The procurement appears open to various business types, with specific provisions for small and resident businesses in Georgia. The contract requires integration with existing infrastructure, including migration of 26 billion historical IVR records and compatibility with current traffic monitoring sites that operate on solar power and cellular modems. While no specific incumbent vendor is mentioned, the system must support annual statistical reporting and provide a comprehensive Traffic Data Management System (TDMS). Pricing will be evaluated on a per-unit basis as detailed in the Scope of Work, with monthly maintenance fees for specific data management system components. Cellular data services will be covered by GDOT, and no supplemental staffing is required from the contractor. Though no explicit budget range is provided, the complexity of the project suggests a significant investment in technological infrastructure and data management capabilities. Technical questions can be directed through the Team Georgia Marketplace, with any deadline extensions to be posted as official addendums.
