About this opportunity

LEAD Public Schools in Nashville, Tennessee is requesting proposals for an as-needed term contract to supply, deliver, assemble, and install classroom, administrative, and miscellaneous support furniture and accessories across its facilities, with proposals due November 9, 2026 at 3:00 PM CST and a mandatory pre-proposal conference on October 22, 2026 at 2:00 PM CST (virtual).

Preference will be given to bidders demonstrating the ability to ship and store all required furniture in the Nashville area by June 30, 2027, in preparation for accelerated delivery and installation between July 19 and August 2, 2027 for the opening of LEAD's new elementary school at 444 Metroplex Drive. This aggressive timeline is a core evaluation factor. The scope encompasses student desks and chairs, teacher workstations, collaborative tables, administrative desks, conference tables, cafeteria seating, library furniture, and miscellaneous accessories—all new, commercial-grade, and suitable for K-12 educational environments. The successful proposer must provide turnkey delivery, unloading, assembly, installation, placement, packaging removal, and final cleanup, coordinate with LEAD's Procurement, Operations, Facilities, and school leadership, and provide a detailed delivery and installation schedule post-award.

The contract term is three years with optional renewals for up to two additional one-year periods (maximum five years). LEAD makes no guarantee of minimum purchase quantities or dollar value; all purchases are subject to available funding and authorized purchase orders. Pricing is weighted at 20 points of 100 in the evaluation, with technical factors—company qualifications, product quality, delivery and installation capabilities, school-year readiness capacity, and customer service—accounting for 80 points. Written questions are due October 26, 2026 at 3:00 PM CST, with responses provided by October 28. The contractor must maintain Commercial General Liability ($1 million per occurrence, $2 million aggregate), Automobile Liability ($1 million CSL), Workers' Compensation per Tennessee statute with $1 million Employers' Liability, and Umbrella/Excess Liability ($2 million per occurrence and aggregate), naming LEAD as Additional Insured on CGL on a primary and non-contributory basis.
