About this file

This is an insurance requirements exhibit for a furniture supply, delivery, and installation contract with LEAD Public Schools in Tennessee. The contract involves the supply, delivery, assembly, and installation of classroom, administrative, and miscellaneous support furniture and accessories across LEAD's facilities, including new and expanded schools, renovations, and administrative spaces. Due to an aggressive construction schedule for a new school, bidders must demonstrate the ability to mobilize quickly, with preference given to contractors who can ship and store all required furniture in Nashville or the surrounding area by June 30, 2027, for delivery and installation between July 19 and August 2, 2027. The contractor will coordinate with LEAD's Procurement, Operations, Facilities, school leadership, and designated project representatives to ensure timely delivery, proper installation, quality assurance, and warranty support. LEAD does not guarantee any minimum purchase quantity or dollar value, and all purchases are subject to available funding and authorized purchase orders.

The contractor must obtain and maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate, including products and completed operations coverage for at least two years following final completion. Automobile Liability coverage of $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit per accident is required for all vehicles used in contract performance. Workers' Compensation insurance must comply with Tennessee statutory requirements with Employers' Liability limits of $1,000,000 for each accident, disease policy limit, and disease per employee. An Umbrella or Excess Liability policy with $2,000,000 per occurrence and aggregate limits is required. LEAD Public Schools must be named as an Additional Insured on the Commercial General Liability policy on a primary and non-contributory basis. The contractor must provide current Certificates of Insurance before contract execution and commencement of work, with the Certificate Holder identified as LEAD Public Schools, 1251 Neely's Bend Road, Madison, TN 37115. All subcontractors must maintain appropriate insurance, and failure to maintain required coverage constitutes a material breach of the contract.
