About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Education's Office of Whole Child Supports is issuing a Request for Qualified Contractors to establish a pool of qualified suppliers to provide evidence-based suicide awareness and/or violence prevention training programs for students in grades 6-12. This solicitation is authorized under Official Code of Georgia Annotated 20-2-779.1 and is designed to create a pre-qualified vendor pool from which Local Educational Agencies may independently enter into agreements for these services. Suppliers may respond to either the suicide awareness training program, the violence prevention training program, or both offerings. The Georgia Department of Education will not execute any contractual agreements or payments directly as part of this solicitation; rather, LEAs will contract directly with qualified and awarded suppliers. Responses must be submitted exclusively through the Team Georgia Marketplace bidder event portal, with the extended due date of March 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Supplier Q&A sessions were conducted with answers posted on January 20, 2026, and March 3, 2026 (with a correction posted on March 5, 2026), allowing potential bidders to clarify requirements and expectations prior to submission.

The solicitation documentation does not specify set-aside designations, restrictions on organizational types, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent vendors, or specific award values and budget ranges. This procurement establishes a qualified vendor pool model rather than a traditional competitive bid with defined contract values, meaning individual LEAs will negotiate terms and pricing directly with pre-qualified suppliers. Technical support for submission questions is available through the DOAS Customer Service Help Desk at 404-657-6000, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding state holidays and closures), or via email at ProcurementHelp@doas.ga.gov. Organizations interested in providing these evidence-based training programs should prepare comprehensive proposals demonstrating qualifications and program effectiveness for student populations in grades 6-12.
