About this opportunity
The City of Pembroke Pines in Broward County, Florida, is seeking bids for a comprehensive Sophos Endpoint Protection Products renewal through Invitation for Bid (IFB # TS-25-20). The procurement focuses on four specific software licenses: Central Managed Detection and Response Complete (850 licenses), Central Managed Detection and Response Complete Server (50 licenses), Central Email Advanced (1,400 licenses), and Central Phish Threat (1,000 licenses). These cybersecurity products offer advanced protection mechanisms including 24/7 managed detection and response services, human-led threat hunting, AI-powered monitoring, cloud email security, and phishing simulation capabilities. The bid was issued on October 21, 2025, with vendor questions due by November 3, 2025, and final bid submissions required by November 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm. The City will evaluate bids based on responsiveness and best value, with the procurement conducted electronically through the OpenGov platform and a virtual bid opening scheduled for 2:30 pm on the submission date. The contract term is 36 months, with product delivery expected within 30 calendar days of the City's purchase order.
The solicitation does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must be registered on the OpenGov system and comply with various city requirements, including maintaining appropriate insurance provisions, conducting background screenings, and using the E-Verify system for employment eligibility verification. The estimated project cost is $60,000 annually, with the City requiring vendors to submit three annual payments instead of a lump sum. No substitutes or alternative bids will be accepted, and vendors must provide comprehensive cybersecurity solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure. The procurement process emphasizes vendor compliance with local and federal regulations, including provisions for non-discrimination, employment verification, and adherence to standard contractual requirements. While specific incumbent vendors are not mentioned, the solicitation suggests a renewal of existing cybersecurity licensing, indicating an established technological environment that requires seamless integration of the proposed Sophos endpoint protection products.
