About this opportunity
The City of Long Beach is issuing a Request for Information on compact mobile food carts to support its "Sidewalk to Success" program, with responses due April 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time via LongBeachBuys.com. This is a market-intelligence RFI, not a binding solicitation; no contracts will be awarded directly from responses, and the City will use submitted information to determine the best procurement method for a future solicitation.
The scope covers compact mobile food carts capable of vending fruit, ice cream, corn, hot dogs, tamales, grilled foods (with and without raw meat), churros, shaved ice, and coffee. All carts must comply with California Health and Safety Code requirements and hold pre-approvals from California health jurisdictions. Respondents should provide cart specifications, compliance documentation, order fulfillment timelines (with ability to deliver within one month of order), and comprehensive pricing including unit cost, shipping to Long Beach, delivery fees, warranty costs, and total fully-loaded cost.
Vendors may submit responses using brochures, specification sheets, pricing sheets, websites, or the provided template. Late responses will not be evaluated, and only responses successfully transmitted through the electronic system will be accepted. The City will review all responses between April 22 and April 26, 2024. All response costs are the sole responsibility of respondents. Technical support is available at LBPurchasing@longbeach.gov or (562) 570-6200. The RFI contact is Abraham Torres at rfppurchasing@longbeach.gov or (562) 570-6200.
