About this opportunity
Stamford Public Schools (SPS) has issued Request for Proposal (RFP) 23-02 seeking a comprehensive Secondary Mathematics Program for its middle and high schools. The procurement solicits a mathematics curriculum provider that will deliver high-quality professional development for teachers and a student-focused learning approach aligned with Connecticut Model Mathematics Standards. The program must incorporate investigations, activities, problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, real-world applications, effective technology integration, and multiple representations. Key deliverables include professional development support before and during implementation, comprehensive lesson materials, and a curriculum that enables students to co-construct mathematical knowledge. The RFP was released on January 4, 2023, with proposals due by January 24, 2023, at 2:30 PM EST. A vendor question and answer period was available from January 4 to January 17, 2023, with technical questions directed to Colleen Weiner, Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment - Secondary, and purchasing questions addressed to Vivens Joachim, Management Analyst and BOE Purchasing Agent.
The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on responding organizations. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the documentation. The solicitation appears open to all vendors without specific qualitative limitations on respondent types. The RFP does not provide an estimated total contract value, budget range, or financial specifications. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination with vendor-specified payment terms, and the solicitation has been designated as having no line items. While the program is specifically for Stamford Public Schools within Fairfield County, Connecticut, there are no explicit limitations preventing vendors from outside the immediate geographic area from submitting proposals. The lack of specific financial parameters suggests flexibility in potential contract structure and vendor pricing approaches.
