About this opportunity
The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ 2025-0043) for a Secondary Broadband Service Provider in Chatham County, Georgia. The procurement seeks a qualified vendor to provide secondary broadband internet services with specific technical requirements, including 2 Gbps symmetrical bandwidth scalable to 10 Gbps, 4-5 assignable static IP addresses with Savannah, GA geolocation, and a robust Service Level Agreement for connection. The RFQ mandates SMF handoff preferred and requires 24/7 support availability. Proposals must be submitted through the Bonfire online platform by November 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, with the SAC planning to evaluate responses between November 24, 2025, and January 15, 2026. The Commission will select the most responsible and responsive respondent based on comprehensive review of technical capabilities, pricing, references, and compliance with all required documentation. Bidders must submit several mandatory documents, including a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Local/Small Business/Minority Business Form, Vendor Certification Form, Pricing Form, and three professional references.
The RFQ supports the City of Savannah's Savannah First Initiative, which encourages participation from local small businesses (LSBE) and minority businesses. To qualify as a local entity, businesses must be physically located within the City of Savannah's geographic boundaries and provide a City of Savannah Business Tax Certificate. Minority businesses must submit a Minority Business Certificate for validation. The solicitation allows for businesses that do not meet local or minority business criteria to still participate, ensuring broad competition. While specific contract value is not explicitly stated, the requirement for scalable bandwidth and comprehensive service offerings suggests a potentially significant engagement. The contract will be governed by Georgia law and will require successful vendors to comply with federal civil rights provisions and nondiscrimination requirements. Payment terms are set at net 30, with no prepayment provisions, and vendors must maintain necessary licenses, permits, and insurance. The SAC reserves the right to reject any or all responses and to waive irregularities in the bidding process.
