A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Commissioner's Board Room in Quitman, Georgia.
The scope covers daily operations and maintenance of all County roads, signage, and culvert work, excluding mowing. The proposing team must include an ASE-certified mechanic to serve as shop manager and must supply tools for vehicle and equipment maintenance; the County retains all vehicles, equipment, and materials. The contract term is three years. The County retains the right to terminate without cause upon providing 60 days' prior written notice. Qualification packages must remain valid for a minimum of 90 days from the solicitation closing date.
Evaluation criteria include costs, demonstrated experience, appropriate staff levels, ability to comply with contractual obligations, ability to acquire the requisite bond, and alignment with the County's vision and direction. All contractors must comply with applicable Georgia public works bidding requirements and maintain insurance, indemnification, drug-free workplace operations, and non-discrimination policies.
Questions are due June 8, 2026. Submission requires one original unbound package, five bound photocopies, and one electronic copy on thumb drive or CD, addressed to Kim Daniels, Brooks County Administrators Office, 610 South Highland Street, Quitman, GA 31643.
