About this opportunity
The City of South Jordan Public Works Department is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for pavement evaluation software, seeking comprehensive information from consultants and vendors about available products and practices. The procurement is specific to Salt Lake County, Utah, and focuses on obtaining detailed insights into software solutions that can assist with pavement condition assessment and management. Vendors must submit their proposals electronically through the Bonfire procurement platform by August 14, 2025, with all questions and interactions required to be conducted through the platform's question and answer function. Registration on the Bonfire website (https://utah.bonfirehub.com/) is mandatory for participation, and vendors are advised that registration, email notifications, and electronic responses are free under the State of Utah's contract with BONFIRE. Two document files have been attached to the opportunity, both named "RFI Document - Pavement Evaluation Software" and sized at 167KB, which likely contain additional technical specifications and submission requirements.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types were explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation. The RFI appears to be an open solicitation for information, allowing broad participation from software vendors and consulting firms specializing in pavement evaluation technologies. While no incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure details were disclosed, the procurement suggests the City of South Jordan is exploring potential software solutions to enhance their pavement management capabilities. The RFI format indicates that this is a preliminary information-gathering stage, likely preceding a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) or competitive bidding process. No specific budget ranges or award values were specified in the available materials, which is typical of an initial information-gathering exercise designed to understand market capabilities and potential solutions for the public works department's pavement evaluation needs.
