About this opportunity
The City of Philadelphia Procurement Department is soliciting quotes for the purchase of sea box storage and freight containers under a micro purchase mechanism, with quotes due July 9, 2026, for a contract period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
The total quote amount must not exceed $45,000, adjusted annually by the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) from January 1, 2020 to the most recently published index and rounded to the nearest $1,000. Pricing must be quoted on an FOB Destination Point basis, exclusive of all taxes. The City will award the micro purchase as a whole or by line item, whichever serves its best interest, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Sellers must quote all items to be eligible for award; no delivery or services shall commence until written notification is received from the requesting department.
Quotes must be submitted electronically through the PHLContracts platform (www.PHLContracts.phila.gov). A properly executed Consent and Authorization Agreement is a mandatory submission requirement and must be on file in the vendor profile or attached with the quote; failure to provide this document will result in quote rejection. Quotations must remain valid for 60 days from submission and cannot be modified after bid opening. The City will accept or reject all quotes within 60 days of submission.
The awarded seller must maintain workers' compensation insurance at statutory limits, general liability insurance with a $500,000 per occurrence limit, and automobile liability insurance with a $300,000 per occurrence limit. The seller must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and register for Philadelphia business taxes, including business income and receipts tax, net profits tax, and city wage tax if not already registered.
Submission of the optional LGBTQ Applicant Opportunity Data Form is voluntary and may be used by the City for other projects and made publicly available as part of its diversity, equity, and inclusion commitment.
