The procurement focuses on three distinct tree caliper sizes: 2-2.5", 2.5-3", and 3-4", with a maximum quantity of 400 trees per size category. Electronic bids will be accepted until 10:15 am on October 10, 2024, with a strict deadline that no late submissions will be considered. The contract term is one year, commencing after city council award, with potential renewal options. Trees must be delivered during designated spring (March 15th to June 1st) and fall (October 15th to January 1st) planting seasons, with delivery to the Department of Public Works at 13-15 Linden Avenue East in Jersey City.

Potential bidders must meet numerous compliance requirements, including New Jersey Business Registration, Affirmative Action Compliance, and submission of various mandatory forms such as Hold Harmless Agreement, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and state-mandated disclosure documents. The procurement includes specific requirements for disadvantaged business participation and mandates compliance with equal employment opportunity regulations. Bidders must provide a 10% bid bond or certified check and complete several disclosure forms, including an Investment Activities in Iran certification. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, pricing will be determined based on the grand total of maximum quantities, with the city retaining the right to adjust quantities as needed.
