About this opportunity

The Texas A&M University System's Office of Facilities Planning & Construction has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for audio-visual (AV) integrator services to support multiple universities and agencies across the A&M System. This is a qualifications-based procurement seeking to establish a master services agreement with multiple qualified companies to create a pool of integrators for assignment to individual projects on an as-needed basis. The scope of work encompasses pre-construction activities including AV requirements development and design review participation, procurement phase activities such as equipment quotes and submittals, and construction phase coordination including infrastructure installation, owner coordination and advisory meetings, equipment delivery oversight, owner training, and warranty documentation. Qualified respondents must demonstrate experience with AV system design, procurement, and installation for higher education institutions, with preferred experience across one or more scope types including classroom and office spaces, research laboratory recording, performing arts buildings, arenas and stadiums, security systems, recording studios, video walls, Secure Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs), virtual classrooms, digital room schedulers, virtual reality environments, and artificial intelligence classrooms. Respondents must also demonstrate professional experience with State of Texas public higher education facility projects and possess strong Texas market knowledge. Qualifications must be submitted electronically to soprocurement@tamus.edu by 2:00 p.m. Central Time on June 23, 2026. The initial contract term runs three years effective September 1, 2026, with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, and pricing will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis using a fee rate schedule.

Respondents must complete a State of Texas Subcontracting Plan with a good faith effort goal of 2 percent for certified Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) or Veteran-Owned Business (VetHUB) utilization, as the total expected value exceeds $100,000 over the contract life. Respondents must provide proof of bonding capacity and maintain professional liability insurance with limits of $2,000,000 per occurrence and $4,000,000 aggregate, commercial general liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence, and excess or umbrella liability insurance of $5,000,000. The A&M System may require performance and payment bonds equal to individual purchase order amounts on specific projects. Respondents are required to include five relevant project examples in their qualifications submissions, accompanied by photographs, cost data, completion dates, and references including project managers, owner representatives, and contractor contacts. The RFQ does not specify a guaranteed volume of work; individual project assignments will be issued via purchase orders with specific scope, deliverables, and payment terms negotiated for each engagement. No incumbent vendors or current contractor information has been disclosed in this solicitation, and the award structure anticipates multiple selections with no minimum guaranteed contract value.
