About this opportunity
The Texas Department of Public Safety is issuing a Request for Information on IT disaster recovery software with submissions due July 10, 2026 by 5:00 p.m. via the TXDPS Online Bid Room. This is strictly market research with no contractual obligation or commitment to procure; all submissions become TXDPS property and will not be returned.
The RFI seeks solutions that access and execute disaster recovery procedures for critical applications within the DPS-owned and managed data center. The solution must be cloud-based with fail-over capabilities, integrate with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ticketing solution, and support Business Impact Analysis, Continuation of Operations, and Information System Continuation Plan documentation generation. Required technical capabilities include single license-based access with role-based user accessibility, Active Directory Single Sign-on, AI capabilities, and reporting on missing or incomplete application documentation. Respondents must specify whether they are solution owners or third-party resellers, DIR participation status, platform requirements (operating system, database type, memory, framework, and network specifications), CJS compliance, and implementation timelines covering configuration, deployment, testing, and acceptance.
Questions and clarifications are due June 17, 2026, with responses to clarifications due June 26, 2026. Respondents may be required to provide product demonstrations or presentations following the submission deadline. The point of contact is Vito Garcia, CTCD, CTCM (vittorio.garcia@dps.texas.gov).
