About this opportunity
The State of Nevada, Department of Administration Purchasing Division, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) on behalf of the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) for the Monitoring/Management of Water and Wastewater Systems statewide. The selected vendor will be responsible for monitoring and testing water systems as well as operations management of wastewater systems for multiple NDOC facilities located throughout the state. The services include adjustments, oil changes, inspections, maintenance, and recommendations for preventative maintenance on aging equipment. The contract term is four years, from February 14, 2024 through February 28, 2027. Proposals are due by November 9, 2023 at 1:00 pm Pacific Time, and a mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 10-12, 2023. The vendor must provide all labor, materials, treatment chemicals, and laboratory analysis required for the contract.
The RFP is open to all interested vendors, but Nevada-based companies are preferred. A Nevada state contractor's license is not required, but the vendor must have the appropriate wastewater operator licenses. The current contract provider is SP & B UTILITIES SERVICES INC., and the current contract amount is $122,021.00 on a nine-month extension through March 31st. The original contract was for four years, with a two-year extension due to COVID. There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and the State has not provided a budget range for the contract.
