The scope includes removal and disposal of existing metal roofing, deteriorated insulation, and vapor barrier from a pre-engineered metal building, with installation of new standing seam metal roofing (Nucor Buildings Group CFR, Ceco Double-Lok, Central States Manufacturing, MetlSpan, or Butler Manufacturing approved equals), thermal insulation (Nucor Sag-N-Bag Double Layer system or approved equal with minimum R-30 performance and WMP-50 vapor barrier facing), and vapor barrier to meet current building and energy code requirements. Delegated design by a qualified engineer is required for insulation systems. The project includes three additive alternates for additional work areas and a $4,000 allowance for removal and replacement of moisture-saturated insulation. The facility is located at 2401 South Main Street, Lamar, Colorado 81052.

The estimated contract value is $1.419 million. Construction is scheduled May 3 through July 20, 2027, with Substantial Completion required within 80 calendar days of field work start and Final Completion 30 calendar days thereafter. The project is subject to Colorado prevailing wage, apprenticeship utilization requirements for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades, and 80% Colorado labor utilization.

Bidders must meet minimum qualifications: no prior State termination for non-performance, operation under the same business name for at least two years, demonstrated experience on at least two projects each exceeding $1.5 million in hard costs, and bonding capability up to $2 million.
