About this opportunity
The City of Lubbock, Texas is soliciting bids for a one-year contract, with two one-year extension options, for the maintenance and repair of the city's light and medium duty vehicles and equipment. The contract will cover preventative maintenance and repairs on vehicles not covered under the manufacturer's warranty, unless the vendor is an authorized warranty dealer. The required maintenance and repairs include air conditioning, brakes, engines, fuel systems, and more. Pricing for the contract will be based on a fixed labor rate per hour and parts at the quoted cost rate. Vendors must provide their current labor guide software and parts vendors, and the City reserves the right to audit labor hours and parts charges. There are approval requirements for repairs based on cost thresholds. All repairs will be warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles, and vendors must use their own parts and supplies, returning all replaced parts to the City. Bids are due on August 22, 2023 prior to 2:00 PM, and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM via teleconference.
The solicitation does not appear to have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The current incumbent or contractor, if any, is not stated. The available budget range or potential award value is also not specified.
