About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Human Services is issuing a Request for Information on formal verification and other methods for reducing the SNAP Payment Error Rate, with responses due July 7, 2026. This is an information-gathering vehicle, not a competitive solicitation, and responses do not obligate suppliers to participate in future competitive bidding.

DHS seeks respondents who have implemented demonstrated error-reduction methodologies—including formal verification of eligibility logic, rules engine modernization, automated case review, or QC-targeted workflow redesign—in production environments in at least one other state or jurisdiction. Respondents must provide concrete, quantitative evidence of SNAP Payment Error Rate reductions achieved. Theoretical or research-stage approaches are not within scope; DHS requires proof of real-world implementation outcomes.

The RFI requests comprehensive information on demonstrated implementation track records with outcome data, specific error-reduction mechanisms, implementation approaches and timelines, integration capabilities with Java-based legacy eligibility systems, proof-of-concept capabilities, and organizational qualifications. No pricing information is requested at this phase. Georgia Gateway, the state's integrated eligibility system, administers SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, CHIP, CCDF/CAPS, and WIC determinations; respondents should address how their methodology could integrate within this existing environment.

Written questions are due June 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET; DHS will respond by June 26, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Submit responses electronically to Addrenna Latham at Addrenna.latham@dhs.ga.gov with subject line referencing RFI PE-42700-RFI-2026-000000012, company name, point of contact, and phone number. Acceptable formats are Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF, or plain text. Responses are public records subject to Georgia's Open Records Act, though suppliers may mark information as confidential or proprietary. DHS reserves the right to amend or cancel the RFI and may request additional information or meetings with selected suppliers.
