About this opportunity
The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) is seeking bids for the procurement of 10,000 folding event chairs. The chairs must have a metal frame in black color, padded seat and back in black vinyl, ganging devices, and non-marring replaceable glides, with a minimum weight capacity of 400 lbs. Bidders are required to submit their sealed bids by May 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM EST. An optional site visit is scheduled for May 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM EST, and the GWCCA will post answers to any written questions by May 17, 2024. The GWCCA will evaluate the bids based on 60% technical merit and 40% cost criteria, and intends to award the contract to the responsible and responsive vendor that provides the best-suited product and cost.
The GWCCA encourages participation from small, female-owned, and minority-owned businesses, and bidders may qualify for Georgia state income tax credits for utilizing qualified minority subcontractors. The GWCCA has not publicly disclosed the incumbent's previous contract award amount due to the low quantity ordered. The final contract terms will be determined by the GWCCA, subject to compliance with Georgia state laws, and the GWCCA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
