About this opportunity
Alpine School District is requesting proposals for fencing services and repairs, including materials, design, labor, installation, and repair work, with proposals due October 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Multiple contract awards are anticipated to responsive and responsible offerors who achieve a minimum score threshold of 80 points; award does not guarantee use or purchase of vendors' products or services, as the District may conduct a best value assessment considering budget, cost, school preference, district preference, and compatibility.
The scope covers chain-link fence installation in multiple heights (4', 6', and 8' high with specified materials), gates with various frame sizes, privacy slats at different heights, fabric replacement, and pole extension and repair services. Vendors must provide pricing for regular business hours and after-hours/weekend services, travel charges, truck charges, shop rates, and parts markup percentages. Schedule B requires vendors to submit product lead times, average turnaround times, warranty information detailing coverage for parts and labor, and a minimum of three references from similar service contracts. Vendors must identify any categories or items within the RFP for which they are not qualified or licensed to perform.
The resulting contract will have a maximum term of five years. All quoted pricing is valid for one year and may extend into a multi-year contract by mutual agreement; subsequent year price increases must be justified with proof of increased material, supply, or labor costs and require approval from both the Physical Facilities and Purchasing Departments at least 30 days prior to implementation. Bid security equal to at least 5 percent of the bid amount is required, and successful contractors must provide 100 percent payment and performance bonds. Alpine School District anticipates reconfiguration effective July 1, 2027 into three separate districts (Aspen Peaks, Timpanogos, and Lake Mountain School Districts), and awarded vendors must honor their pricing and extend identical terms to any newly formed districts for the remaining contract duration. All pricing information is public and cannot be classified as confidential. Cost and pricing data must be submitted separately from technical responses; failure to do so results in non-responsive determination.
